A superb and unique ' Visitor's Book ' from the British Participation 1986 World Exposition Vancouver, Canada. The volume bound in leather by J. May of London, and each page neatly bordered with a red line. The album contains over 1,000 autographs and signatures of various celebrities, heads of state, heads of government, delegates, ministers, politicians and anyone else of importance who visited the Expo. The first page bears the autographs of Prince Charles and Lady Diana (signed ' Charles ' and ' Diana ' and dated in Charles' hand May 6th 1986). Other signatures within the album include; Margaret Thatcher , Minister Of Transport for Italy, various ministers, various ambassadors, Barrie Street, The Royal Commonwealth Society, the Officers of HMS Manchester, Commanding Officer and crew of HMS Amazon, Margaret Urquhart, members of the American Cycling Expedition, Robert Banks (politician) and other members of the House Of Commons, Joe Jackson (singer) and band, the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race Crews 1986, Michael Apted (film director), Roger Bannister (Four minute mile), Mountbatten Of Burma , Chairman Of British Rail, Directors of Royal Doulton / Royal Crown Derby etc, UK Parliamentary Delegates, Kid Creole & The Coconuts (band), Bryan Adams (singer), David Young (playwright), and many others. Many of the autographs with notation as to who they are, or what department they represent. A typed list accompanies the album with a list of 'some' of the visitors within the first 12 days - all of which can be found in the album. A fascinating and important album.
