SALE INFORMATION

 

BIDDING:

-         In-person bidding at the charity evening event is available strictly by invitation. To request an invitation, please email amanda.grimstead@temwa.org. Please do not turn up at the event without an invitation. 

-         Online bidding is available via the-saleroom.com and bid.eastbristol.co.uk.

-         Telephone bidding and Commission bidding are available via arrangement with East Bristol Auctions.

By signing up to bid, you are agreeing to the standard terms of sale as outlined in this document and are politely reminded that no guarantees of condition are given.

 

ESTIMATES:

Estimates are shown at the end of each lot and are published as guidance only and do not imply reserve unless stated otherwise.

 

SALE:

All items are sold 'as is' irrespective of any description, and no warranties or guarantees are offered on any item. Condition reports for all lots are available upon direct request to the auction room.

Each purchaser, by making a bid for a lot, is deemed to have knowledge of all the Conditions of Sale and to have satisfied themselves as to the physical condition and accuracy of the description of the lot, including, but not restricted to, whether the lot is damaged or has been repaired.

 

 

VIEWING:

Viewing is strictly by appointment and is available until Wednesday 27 October. Please contact Temwa to make a viewing appointment. Viewings are available in half-hour slots between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please give a minimum of 72 hours’ notice when requesting a viewing appointment. Please note you may be required to provide proof of ID upon arrival.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – given the current climate, viewing details may be subject to change at very short notice. We strongly advise checking with the auction room prior to making a long journey that your booking details are correct. The safety of the auction room’s customers and staff is paramount.

 

PAYMENT:

We politely request that all payments are settled within five days of the auction.

We accept all major debit and credit cards (£200 limit if paying by credit card), cash or bank transfer. Unless paying in person, we request that all transactions over £500 are paid via bank transfer. 

Online bidders, whether live or by automated online commission, must register a payment card on the relevant bidding platform. If no contact has been made within five days of a successful bid, payment and postage will be automatically taken from the registered card. 

 

COLLECTION & STORAGE:

The auction room is open for click and collect and also offers national and international courier services for an additional fee.

We are unable to store items for longer than ten days after the auction. Any items outstanding after this period (where delivery, collection or postage has not been arranged) will be moved to offsite storage and charged at a rate of £5 per lot, per day for smaller items and £10 per lot, per day for larger items.

 

NOTES:

Buyer’s premium for all artwork 0% (+VAT) apart from for auction lots 32 and 69.

VAT: (*) indicates that VAT is payable by the purchaser at the standard rate on the hammer price as well as being an element in the buyer`s premium.
